7th Raspberry Awareness Day

We are delighted to announce our 7th Raspberry Awareness Day, a special day dedicated to raising awareness of cavernoma and showing support for everyone affected.

Why a raspberry? Because cavernomas often look like little raspberries on scans – and this symbol has become a powerful way of starting conversations, raising awareness, and reminding people that they are not alone.

This year we’ll once again be encouraging members, families, and supporters to wear raspberry colours, share their stories, and take part in fundraising activities. Each action – no matter how big or small – helps us shine a light on cavernoma and provide vital services such as free counselling, family retreats, and community events.

What started with an award from the European Federation of Neurological Associations (EFNA) in our very first year has now grown into one of the most important events in our calendar. Together, we’re making sure cavernoma is recognised, talked about, and better understood.

Let’s make this year’s Raspberry Day the biggest and boldest yet!

8th Heal Your Brain Retreat

Following the incredible success of our 7th retreat, we’re thrilled to announce that we’ll be returning to Noka Bainland Lodge in September 2026 for our 8th Heal Your Brain Retreat.

Applications will open in early 2026. This retreat is designed to give members space to rest, recover, and reconnect, surrounded by others who truly understand the cavernoma journey.

Noka is a stunning two-storey, 10-bedroom lodge set on its own private lake, with luxurious interiors, outdoor terraces, fire pits, hot tubs, and spaces designed for wellness and community. From yoga and meditation to shared meals and workshops, it’s the perfect environment to restore both body and mind.

This retreat is always one of the most special moments in our calendar – we can’t wait to welcome you.

Go Ape Kids Adventure

Thanks to a generous award of £100 worth of activities from Go Ape, we’ll be hosting an adventurous day out for kids living with cavernoma.

This event will be all about fun, freedom, and friendship – giving children the chance to enjoy the great outdoors, build confidence, and connect with others just like them.

We can’t wait to see our younger members swinging, climbing, and smiling their way through this unforgettable experience.

Spending time with animals and being outdoors can be deeply therapeutic. We hope this holistic day out will offer not only the joy of seeing wildlife, but also the chance to connect with other families who understand the challenges of cavernoma.

More details will follow soon – but save the date for a day of fresh air, fun, and community.
